Dishwasher Tablets

Ingredients

250ml Bicarbonate of Soda

60ml Lemon Juice or Citric Acid

1tbsp On Guard Cleaner Concentrate

5-6 drops of a dōTERRA citrus essential oil of your choice i.e. Lime, Grapefruit, Lemon, Tangerine.

Method

Mix all the ingredients together and push down really firmly into an ice cube tray (preferably a silicone tray).

Leave the tablets to dry. This can take some time so be patient. Once they have dried, remove them from the tray and store them in a glass jar.

“The recipe is really easy and would be a good project to do with children. I tested these tablets over our washes - two lightly soiled loads (mainly glasses, plates and cutlery); one load of pots and pans; and one load of heavily soiled baking tins and pans. My husband Mike helped with the testing and added two slices of lemon to this last load as well. The tablets dissolved easily and didn’t leave a residue. The dishwasher smelled clean and most importantly of all, the dishes were clean. The tablets struggled a bit with the heavily soiled items so I would probably use my normal tablets for this type of load or perhaps add two of the dōTERRA tablets rather than one”.
